There's a bunch of other Christmas themed content to explore and loot, including a frickin' Ice Dragon. "Once summoned for battle, the Ice Dragon can freeze and attack opponents with its Ice Breath and Frost Storm attacks. When in the air, players gain a speed boost to fly even faster while atop the magnificent creature." Sounds pretty sweet to me. The only part I'm worried about is what will happen in the summer time? You don't want to be riding atop your Ice Dragon when that sucker starts melting and falling apart. Be sure to mozy on over to our screenshots page and check out the new content.

Rusty Hearts open beta video preview

<category term="RPG. Perfect World might have ya covered then. As you'll see in the video, Rusty Hearts contains all the RPG basics such as leveling up, a plethora of spells and abilities for each character, tons of loot and of course an overarching storyline that's sprinkled with a decent amount of humor. Hell, my character now runs around with a pig box over her head, cause that's just how she rolls. If your playing APB though, chances are you're probably right. For a lot of people, including me, the amount of people cheating in APB has been a huge reason why they don't play the game anymore. No one wants to invest time into their character only to spend the evening dying over and over to some sketchy fellows with really annoying death jingles. (APB players know what I mean)

The devs are looking to deal a big blow to the cheaters out there, claiming on their dev blog that you will be caught, and even if you make another account you'll just be banned again, and eventually permanently. They even offer amnesty to cheaters who have a sudden 'change of heart' before they receive a permanent ban on their account. I say ban the kids swiftly and permanently so you can focus on actually fixing the gameplay issues. Because if APB stays as is, there definitely won't be any cheaters a year from now, cause the game probably won't be around anymore.

League of Legends Dominion review

Not only have Riot Games brought us a new map to play on, but have also totally revamped a lot of things to try and streamline the experience. One of the most daunting things about League of Legends is that when you die, it really matters. Not only are you not available to defend a turret or help out teammates for a little while, but the enemy champion gains XP and gold from your death. Thus resulting in anyone who is new to the game to be verbally assaulted for 'feeding' the enemy team. Dominion mode takes care of this problem in a few ways. Gold and XP will generate all the time, not just for killing an enemy champion. So if you find yourself in a bad streak of luck, you'll still be able to buy some gear and keep up with everyone else. And because people aren't constantly harassing you every time you die, you can focus more on *gasp* having fun playing a video game.

Age of Empires Online video preview

AoE Online has been getting a lot of buzz lately, so Erik and I decided to give it a spin and see what it's all about. While the game certainly tries to pull together cool aspects from other games and bundle it together, I just wasn't really feeling it after putting in about 3 hours or so. I'll probably play the game more in the future, but playing this game as a free-to-play game doesn't exactly have me coming back for more. That being said, if you purchase the 20 dollar expansion, you'll get to actually equip decent gear and do things like rated pvp. Rounds being a death match style pvp mode and Respawn being as you'd imagine a respawning deathmatch mode where points for each kill are the goal. These two pvp modes allow up to eight people per team. So why pvp you ask? Aside from the obvious fun of blowing another person up? Well, you can earn arena exp and earn different arena ranks. Also you'll receive medals which can be turned in at a pvp vendor for crafting materials and 'luster pouches.' A pvp ladder and more detailed stats are planned for the near future. From the start you're guided by a voice in your head. Not just a voice, but a narrator to your life. Early on you'll be confronted with the decision to listen to that voice or not, and from then on the game goes into a sort of choose your own adventure experience. It's a refreshing break from the normal action oriented multiplayer games to play something that provides a very personable experience. Your decisions craft the story in front of you as you explore and interact with the narrator by either following his directions blindly or choosing your own path. Some of the endings are followed by a dialogue that just hints at trying too hard to be deep instead of just being clever and smart. I'd definitely recommend checking out the trailer after the break and giving the mod a spin. It'll take no longer than 30 minutes to beat all the endings probably, so no excuses.
